Nissan Kicks e-POWER Sakura/Formula-E Edition during NIM Tour in BGC

Nissan Philippines proudly showcased a design-forward tribute to its global motorsports heritage: the Nissan Kicks e-POWER Sakura / Formula E Edition, a crossover that blends high-performance inspiration, cultural symbolism, and visual storytelling.

Created to mark Nissan’s recent championship win in Formula E Season 11 through driver Oliver Rowland, this display concept Kicks e-POWER commemorates both a competitive milestone and the enduring spirit of Nissan’s racing heritage.

Fresh from its showcase at the recent Nissan Intelligent Mobility (NIM) Tour in BGC last September 12–14, this special Kicks e-POWER unit continues to embody the brand’s commitment to innovation and style. Nissan’s Kicks e-POWER Sakura / Formula E Edition will continue its journey across the metro, bringing the brand’s legacy in motion to more Filipinos.

Racing History in Every Detail

This unique Kicks e-POWER features Formula E-inspired design accents, from the aerodynamic contrast panels of the Formula-E car to a sleek performance strip along its profile that made this vehicle a conversation piece.

The number 23—Nissan’s badge of honor—sits proudly on the hood and side doors. For Nissan, “23” is more than a number, it’s a badge of honor. In Japanese, “Ni” (2) and “San” (3) form the brand’s very name, and the number has become synonymous with Nissan’s iconic race cars, from Super GT to the cutting-edge Nissan Formula E team. With this unit, that storied legacy finds new life when on tour here in the Philippines.

Adding further presence to the design was updated rims in partnership with Concept One. The Kicks e-POWER Sakura was fitted with Momo Revenge MBKPOL wheels (19×8.5, 5H PCD 114, Offset +40) and Michelin Pilot Sport 5 tires (245/40 R19), giving the crossover a sportier look.

“Our victory in Formula E is a reflection of Nissan’s commitment to performance, precision, and resilience, values that define every vehicle we make,” said Masao Tsutsumi, President of Nissan Philippines.

“The Kicks e-POWER Sakura is a visual tribute to the brand’s motorsport legacy and it’s our way of showing how the same mindset that wins championships also drives the quality and spirit of the cars we bring to the road,” she added.

A Sakura-Laced Salute to Heritage

Wrapped in a combination of racing red and sakura pink, the livery draws direct inspiration from Japan’s cherry blossom season, a fleeting yet powerful symbol of beauty and cultural pride. The blooming sakura graphics that flow from the hood to the rear quarter panel not only reflect Japanese identity but offer a poetic contrast to the aggressive, track-ready energy beneath.

Enthusiasts who explore the vehicle up close will find Easter eggs carefully integrated into the design, references to Nissan’s electric racing milestones, nods to iconic Formula E liveries, and color cues that bridge traditional Japanese motifs with futuristic electric performance.

Catch the Kicks e-POWER Sakura / Formula E Edition as it continues its journey across the Philippines. This daring showcase of electric innovation and bold design offers a thrilling glimpse into Nissan’s vision for the future of mobility.
