The market research and analytics firm acknowledges Epson as the market leader across ASEAN in Large Format Printing, Graphic Textile, Photo Graphic (Aqueous Ink), and Signage
Epson, a global leader in professional printing, has been recognized by International Data Corporation (IDC) as the leading brand in the Large Format Printer, Graphic Textile, Photo Graphic, and Signage categories across the ASEAN region for CY2025.
As the market leader across several product categories, Epson continues to set benchmarks for excellence across the region.
Epson: Transforming Large Format printing
Epson continues to lead the Large Format Printing category in ASEAN with a 21.1% market share in the region, an increase from CY2024’s 19.2% market share. Moreover, Epson sets the standard in large-format solutions, particularly for Computer-Aided Design and Graphic Products. Its high-performance printers continue to earn recognition for their precision and exceptional quality.
Across the region, Epson is a clear market leader, with strong gains in Thailand at 28.3% (0.4% increase), the Philippines at 26.9% (4.7% increase), and Indonesia at 23.2% (6.5% increase) from last year. In Singapore and Malaysia, Epson also holds leading positions with market share of 32.8% and 16.8% respectively.
Setting innovation standards in Graphic Textile printing
Epson remains the leader within the region in the Graphic Textile category with 45.6% market share, an improvement from last year’s 43%. The company remains at the forefront of the evolving textile print demands with new launches like the high-performance SureColor F9530.
Epson has also made its foray into knowledge-sharing with businesses through key industry events and data-rich whitepapers that reflect the most pressing needs of the industry. Last year, Epson took part in the ITMA 2025 held in Singapore to showcase its new dye-sublimation models, as well as launch the Digital Textile Printing Trends in Southeast Asia whitepaper.
In this category, Epson holds 60% of market share in Singapore, reinforcing its position as the market’s top choice for textile printing, and commands a strong share in Indonesia (59.1%), the Philippines (54.6%), and Thailand (25.3%).
Longstanding leadership in Photo Graphic (Aqueous Ink) printing
Epson retains its number one position in ASEAN in the Photo Graphic (Aqueous Ink) category, and is the undisputed leader in Singapore (56.8%), Indonesia (32.2%), Thailand (27.9%) and Malaysia (23.6%).
With a 22.3% market share through products like the SureColor P9530 and SureColor P6530E, Epson’s large format photo printers have strengthened its position as a leading choice for professional photo printing across the region.
For regional customers seeking high-quality photo applications, Epson’s aqueous ink technology delivers precise details and vivid colors, making Epson the region’s preferred Photo Graphic printer.
Signage innovations that address evolving business needs
Sustaining its leadership position in the Signage category in ASEAN, Epson has also pushed its market share from 10.5% in CY2024 up to 11.1% in CY2025. With its advanced Eco Solvent, Latex, and Solvent ink technologies, Epson continues to meet the growing demands for high-quality, high-volume output in the signage industry. This includes launching three new signage printers in CY2025: the SureColor S7130, S8130, and S9130.
Across Singapore, Thailand, and Malaysia, Epson’s market share has also increased from the previous year at 54.5% (6% increase), 37.5% (8% increase), and 22% (3% increase), respectively. The new S Series helped drive positive growth by encouraging users to upgrade and switch for improved performance.
“We’re honored to be recognized by IDC as the leading printer brand across these categories. This is also a direct affirmation of our ongoing commitment to innovation and delivering high-quality printing solutions throughout ASEAN. At Epson, we remain dedicated to raising industry standards and providing businesses in the region with reliable, advanced technology they can trust,” said Mr. Hattori Tai, Regional Director of Commercial and Industrial Products, Epson Southeast Asia.
