New 76-inch dye-sublimation printer with an 8-printhead architecture and optional Jumbo Roll supports higher throughput and production stability
Epson, a leader in professional printing, is strengthening its industrial dye-sublimation portfolio with the launch of the SC-F20030 as Southeast Asia’s textile print industry shifts towards digital production. According to Epson-IDC’s report, Digital Textile Printing Trends in Southeast Asia, digital dye-sublimation enables print providers to achieve revenue growth up to eight times faster than traditional screen printing while expanding into high-demand segments such as sportswear, homewear, and footwear.
Driven by demand for cost-effective short runs and customization, manufacturers, and print-on-demand providers are increasingly adopting digital technologies to meet tighter production timelines and more complex workflows, while also improving operational consistency and sustainability.
Building on its predecessor, SC-F11030, which delivers high productivity and outstanding print quality across both short‑run and high‑volume textile work, the new SC‑F20030 extends Epson’s 76‑inch line‑up for high‑production textile environments. It is designed for operations where speed, scalability, and consistent output quality are critical. Engineered for higher-throughput operations, the SC-F20030 supports fast-paced, short-run workflows while maintaining reliable performance.
Advanced eight-printhead architecture for high productivity and image quality
The SC-F20030 features eight of Epson’s PrecisionCore MicroTFP printheads in a horizontal overlapping arrangement, doubling the four‑printhead architecture of the SC‑F11030 and improving dot placement across the 76‑inch print width. As a result, the SC-F20030 delivers production speeds of up to 306 m²/h at 600 x 600 dpi with consistent, high‑quality results across long runs.
Like the SC-F11030, the SC-F20030 leverages Epson UltraChrome DS Ink and a bulk ink supply system with 10-liter ink packs and hot swap functionality. The system automatically switches to a second ink pack of the same color when an ink pack runs out mid-print, allowing operators to replace the empty pack without interrupting production and minimizing downtime in high-volume environments.
Designed for high reliability and maximum uptime
To minimize operational disruptions, the SC-F20030 is designed to support stable, continuous production. A built-in drying system with double‑sided heating, warming both the front and back of the transfer media, supports in‑process ink curing to reduce unwanted ink transfer and wrinkling. An integrated dust‑reduction mechanism, combining an intake fan and media cleaner, reduces dust buildup inside the printer and minimizes nozzle clogging, contributing to more stable print quality and less waste. For high-production users, optional jumbo roll and jumbo reel units, with support for media loads of up to 300kg, reduce the frequency of media changes. This enables longer, more efficient runs for mid- to large-scale traditional textile and digital printing factories operating across domestic and export markets.
The SC-F20030 also gives operators greater control over maintenance through user self‑repair functions. Users can replace specific parts, such as the printhead and anti-drying cap, themselves with support from the printer’s built-in diagnostics. This reduces reliance on service calls and enables faster recovery from technical issues.
Building on proven performance to meet evolving industry needs
The SC-F20030 builds on the proven 76-inch SC-F11030 printer which delivers high productivity and strong print quality for textile producers moving from legacy processes to digital dye‑sublimation. Across Southeast Asia, these models have helped businesses in scaling and advancing their operations by combining high‑speed printing with robust image quality and automated features such as integrated drying and precise media control.
“As Southeast Asia’s textile printing industry evolves, flexibility, responsiveness and production stability are becoming critical to long-term success,” said Noelle Gonzalez, Head of Marketing, Epson Philippines. “With the SC-F20030, we are expanding Epson’s industrial dye-sublimation portfolio to better support businesses managing higher production demands, tighter turnaround expectations and more complex print workflows. It reflects our continued commitment to helping customers improve operational efficiency while advancing more sustainable printing practices.”
